MAXED OUT REVIEW




MAXED OUT - This funny and enlightening documentary focuses on the shift in American culture from an economy based on responsibility and turning it into one that is addicted to debt. It gives you an inside look on both sides of the debting system. It showcases its "heroes", its "enemies", and its "victims". Do I feel sympathy for the people that are on the brink of bankruptcy and contemplating suicide? Am I in shock and awe when presented with the knowledge that banks/lenders actually want people to miss payments? Am I disgusted by the yuppie real estate lady living on borrowed time and credit until she can't pay for her ridiculously overpriced and oversized home? My answers to these questions are unimportant. What is important is that people see this movie and answer these questions themselves. A-
