AWESOME, I F**KIN' SHOT THAT REVIEW

AWESOME, I F**KIN' SHOT THAT - The Beastie Boys are trying something new by releasing a concert film where they’ve let 50 fans film a sold out 2004 show at Madison Square Garden. Yes, the Beasties are trying something new but not all together original. Other bands have tried (mostly unsuccessfully) to do something similar but mostly just for music videos and not a full fledged concert. If you are a fan of the Boys you’ve probably already seen it or are anxiously awaiting its wide release. If you’re not a fan you should still give this film a try. It’s a film that’s not afraid to be experimental. The editing is fast and furious and when it works its short of a masterpiece when it doesn’t the music keeps it fun and interesting. The footage is grainy and shaky, special effects are used heavily (mostly effectively), and the visual and audio barrage never stops. Some of these attributes really make you feel like you are at the concert and some dramatically take you out of the show (unless you are on a high dosage of LSD) all adds tremendously to the experience. I had a blast with this film and look forward to checking out the DVD in a few months. This is definitely not a perfect film but it does manage to capture something special that can only be had at a great concert. I’ve never seen the Beastie Boys live so I really don’t have much to compare it to. Regardless you have to give credit here to an outstanding achievement in concert filmmaking. B+

Hulk Review: HULK NO LIKE MOVIE. HULK GET WHIPLASH FROM ALL THE FAST CHANGES OF THINGS ON SCREEN. HULK LOOK LEFT, THEN HULK LOOK RIGHT, THEN HULK LOOK LEFT AGAIN. HULK LIKE SINGIN’ MOVIES BUT HULK NO UNDERSTAND WHAT PEOPLE ARE TALKIN’ ABOUT. THEY SPEAK TOO FAST FOR HULK. SOMETHING ABOUT SABOTAGE, BROOKLYNN, AND TIME TO GET ILL. HULK DOESN’T LIKE BEIN’ SICK. IS THERE A TIME ON HULK’S WATCH WHEN IT TELLS HULK HE WILL BE SICK? HULK JUST GOT NEW WATCH AND THERE ARE ONLY FOUR TIMES ON HULK’S WATCH. SMASH-O’CLOCK, SMASH-O'CLOCK, SMASH O’CLOCK, AND SLEEPY TIME.

Bobo Review: Bobo love dis moobie. Bobo love the Beastley Boys almost as much as the Monkees. Bobo was saddened to find out Beastley Boys not sing Bobo’s favorite song “Fight For Your Right to Party”. Bobo even brought a cart full of pies to throw at stupid mens in theater. Bobo enjoyed moobie so much but Bobo did get a bit hungry and Bobo ended up eating all the pies…. Bobo get bad stomach ache. Bobo get the quick shits but Bobo hold it in. Bobo not want to miss any of awesome moobie. Bobo hold it in all the way until end of moobie when Beatley Boys sing Sabotage. Bobo jump up and down but forget all about Hershey squirt problem. In all the excitement Bobo’s bowels let loose a great vengeance of power and fury and covered stoopid mens behind me. Bobo snicker and laugh and point finger at stoopid mens. They should know better than to sit behind a monkey with a cart full of pies.
